Partner with ROA General Manager and Senior Leadership Team to deliver short- and long-term financial commitments for growth, profitability, and cash flow across ROA including key markets like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore/Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and per VGO ROA structure and priorities
Lead ROA FP&A process for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, and annual budgeting process. Provide and be able to explain business drivers for relevant comparative metrics including prior forecasts, budget, and prior year or quarters
Manage and oversight all financial accounting activities including ensuring monthly closing of books, perform analysis of all the expenses & ensure all the transactions are recorded correctly and in correct accounting period, monthly review of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations, provide ageing reports and ensure follow up actions for VGO, Thailand
Lead cross-functional teams to develop, review and present business cases for strategic projects that will drive business performance including commercial pursuits, product development roadmaps, supply chain and operational enhancement, capital projects, and support inorganic growth (M&A, Joint Ventures, and other partnerships)
Drive continuous improvement in the operational, financial, and reporting control environment to ensure compliance with relevant Accounting Standards – Global and Local - and VGO policies; ensure meeting the local regulatory requirements of reporting and filings, meeting all tax obligations and governance standards
Lead regional cash management including optimization efforts to ensure sufficient liquidity in each entity and support other corporate treasury initiatives, credit management, inventory controls
Further develop ROA finance and accounting function and organizational capability through successful hiring, talent development, talent evaluation, and succession planning
Ensure Corporate Governance requirements in Thailand/ROA. Hold corporate governance positions (if required)
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics (or other closely related field)
CPA/CA/MBA strongly preferred
15+ years of experience in financial leadership roles of increasing responsibility with multinational corporates
5+ years of strong people management experience skills to effectively develop teammates in the accounting and finance department
Results oriented financial leader who consistently meets / exceeds both short- and long-term financial commitments
Strong business acumen, ability to partner with business and solve complex financial issues that have operational impacts
Excellent communication skills and ability and willingness to deal with cultures across Asia and Global stakeholders
Experience in establishing and maintaining strong relationships and trust with finance functional leaders, non-finance functional leaders, and other regional / business unit leaders
Ability to utilize a direct and proactive approach when dealing with difficult issues or uncertainties
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Ability to travel regionally, and occasionally globally, as required
