Head of Engineering

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic direction for engineering operations, leading teams to successfully complete diverse projects within an entire engineering department encompassing mechanical, electrical, civil support, compliance, process monitoring, development, and maintenance.
• Provide technical support to business development, leasing, operations, and engineering teams.
• Ensure engineering strategies and processes are aligned with business objectives, meeting operational needs in terms of cost, quality, and timelines to enhance the company's competitiveness in the market.
• Cultivate an environment that fosters excellence, energy, and commitment among team members, inspiring them to excel and supporting their career development.
• Establish and implement best practices in engineering vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business performance.
• Oversee all aspects of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design and building utilities operation and maintenance.
• Responsible for supervising all aspects of the operation and maintenance of building utilities.
• Evaluate and implement technological systems to promote environmentally friendly practices.
• Regularly report on engineering activities and key performance indicators to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Over 20 years of proven success in leading large engineering teams, with at least 5 years dedicated to M&E Utility Operation & Maintenance, and preferably a substantial background in building engineering design (MEP).
• Possesses knowledge and technical expertise in Engineering Operation & Maintenance, along with design methodologies.
• Ideally comes from the retail and real estate sector or a sizable corporate environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, adept at enhancing team performance and fostering growth.
• Exceptional skills in relationship management, including engaging, negotiating, and overseeing key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proficient and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate effectively across all levels.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional situational awareness.
• Results-driven mindset with a track record of planning and meeting project deadlines.
• Proficient in commercial and financial matters, experienced in budget management.
• Possesses a technical mindset.
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
