    Assistant Director, Sales - Leisure & MICE

    Position Details

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with leadership to formulate sales plans and set achievable departmental objectives.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Contribute to establishing and implementing departmental policies and guidelines.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team to drive revenue growth.
    • Set and manage departmental budgets to achieve financial targets.
    • Research and identify new business opportunities to expand market share.
    • Actively participate in sales calls to secure new business and close deals.
    • Support operational aspects of booked business, including proposals and contracts.
    • Monitor day-to-day sales activities of the team and provide coaching.
    • Analyze market data to identify trends and implement revenue-generating strategies.
    • Collaborate in developing training programs to enhance the sales team's skills.
    • Assist with performance appraisals and ensure efficient administrative support for the team.
    • Oversee the creation and update of promotional materials like brochures and sales kits.
    • Monitor accuracy of hotel information presented by external partners.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operations and partners.
    • Develop and manage relationships with key clients to secure long-term business.
    • Utilize industry resources to identify sales leads and analyze market trends.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the target market and competitor landscape.
    • Attend and actively contribute to departmental sales meetings.
    • Participate in industry events and community activities to expand the hotel's reach.
    • Uphold the hotel's image and ensure adherence to best practices in sales and customer service.


    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related fields.
    • Minimum of 5 years in sales management experience in luxury hotel sector with an understanding of key markets, strong network of appropriate social/business connections within the key markets that they will be operating.)
