Job Description

1. HSE Compliance & Monitoring

• Oversee and ensure daily compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols at solar energy project sites.

• Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and violations of safety regulations.

• Enforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among all site personnel and contractors.

2. Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training sessions to promote awareness and compliance.

3. Incident Management

• Investigate, report, and document all accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.

• Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

4. Coordination & Safety Culture

• Collaborate with the Safety Manager, project managers, engineers, and contractors to improve site safety practices.

• Act as the primary on-site point of contact for safety concerns, providing timely advice and solutions.

• Foster a proactive safety culture through regular communication and engagement with on-site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within EPC, construction, or renewable energy sectors.

• Direct experience in solar energy projects is a strong advantage.

• In-depth knowledge of local and international safety standards and regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).

• Excellent observation, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working with cross-functional teams and diverse personnel.

• Certification in occupational safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is preferred.
