Functional Expert - Manufacturing

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Mentorship and Coaching in SAP

o Serve as a mentor and coach to Key Users, providing expert-level understanding of SAP systems and associated business processes.

o Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the SAP Key Users community through platforms like Teams.

• SAP Configuration and Implementation

o Configure and implement SAP software products to align with organizational requirements.

o Collaborate with clients to gain a deep understanding of their business needs and processes.

• Solution Design and Customization

o Design, customize, and implement SAP solutions tailored to meet clients' specific needs.

o Write functional specifications for the development team to ensure accurate system enhancements.

• Functional Knowledge Stewardship

o Safeguard the functional knowledge of the SAP solution, encompassing both process and system aspects.

o Act as a data governor for master data and transactional data within the functional area

• SAP Change Request Management

o Drive SAP-related change requests related to system configurations and processes.

o Verify the impact of proposed SAP changes on existing processes and system functionality.

• SAP Process Improvement

o Actively contribute to SAP-related improvement initiatives, leveraging a detailed understanding of existing SAP processes and systems.

o Play a key role in introducing SAP automation initiatives to enhance current system features.

• Key User Community Facilitation

o Facilitate the SAP Key User community, serving as a key point of contact and support for Key Users.

o Escalate key user situations or specific problems to OpCo Management as needed.

o Proactively communicate updates regarding new SAP releases and projects building on the SAP ecosystem foundation.

o Coordinate and support regression testing activities.

o Promote continuous improvement in SAP usage, including the monitoring of Business Process KPIs.

o Take responsibility for driving content creation and knowledge sharing within the SAP Key Users community.

o Serve as a content driver and promote engagement among SAP Key Users.

• Global Process Owner (GPDO) Partnership for SAP

o Collaborate closely with the Global Process Owner (GPDO) for SAP to align SAP system knowledge and process improvements with overall business objectives.

o Act as a liaison between SAP Key Users and the GPDO to ensure effective communication and execution of SAP-related initiatives.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s Degree is preferred.

• Proficiency in SAP systems and configuration. SAP Certification is a plus.

• Strong familiarity with SAP business processes and operations. Relevant certifications in SAP solution architecture

Experience:

• In-depth understanding of SAP manufacturing processes and integration with other modules.

• Expertise in SAP Production Planning (PP), Material Management (MM), and Quality Management (QM) modules.

• Proven track record of successfully driving SAP-related change requests and process improvements.

• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, shop floor management, and master data governance.

• Experience in SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) and Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII).

• Proficiency in configuring SAP for optimized production processes and reporting.

• Experience in SAP community management and knowledge sharing is a plus.

• Strong working knowledge of S4/ HANA master data and transaction data
