Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to safeguard data assets in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., PDPA, GDPR).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and improve data quality, integrity, and accessibility across the organization.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and partners to secure, manage, and utilize personal data ethically and legally.
Work with People team to enhance data privacy awareness and training programs for employees.
Establish protocols for data sharing agreements and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Evaluate and recommend data management tools and technologies to support data governance objectives.
Provide guidance and support during data breaches or security incidents involving sensitive data.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience (3 years) in data governance, data management, or a related field within the retail, real estate, or digital industries.
In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., PDPA, GDPR) and best practices for data governance and data management.
Experience working with third-party vendors and managing data acquisition processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify data governance issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Certification in Data Management (e.g., CDMP) or relevant professional certifications is a plus.
