Exclusive Interview with Ploy: From Producer to Workshop Maker Who Believes Everyone Can Grow

    Jobcadu

    Jobcadu

Having worked as a Producer and Project Manager behind numerous successful creative projects, campaigns, and collaborations, Ploy has spent years helping teams transform ideas into reality. Beyond managing large-scale productions and guiding creative teams, she has also become known for helping individuals gain clarity, set meaningful goals, and reconnect with themselves through self-discovery workshops and personal development sessions.

When people hear the name “Ploy”, many recognize her as a Producer and Project Manager behind numerous creative projects. But beyond that, Ploy is also someone helping people reconnect with themselves through workshops, goal-setting sessions, and self-discovery practices that focus not only on “achieving success,” but on “understanding yourself more deeply.”

Interestingly, this path did not begin from a place of certainty. In fact, it started during one of the most confusing periods of her life.

The Turning Point: From Producer to Workshop Maker

Ploy shared that throughout her career in production, she met countless people, helped teams grow, gave advice, and spent much of her life pitching ideas and projects.

But one day, she asked herself:

“I’ve spent my whole life pitching projects for other people — so why have I never pitched a life for myself?”

For creative professionals, pitching is normal. You may pitch a hundred times and succeed once. But when she turned that same question inward — “What do I actually want?” — she realized it was much harder to answer than expected.

So she began using the same tools she once used for storytelling, theme development, and project planning to explore her own life. That process eventually became the foundation of the workshops she creates today.

As someone who once felt lost and directionless herself, Ploy discovered that self-understanding does not always have to feel heavy or overwhelming. She wanted to share that realization with others because, ultimately, what she hopes for most is for people to discover that they always have options — and their own way forward.

“Feeling Lost” Is Hard to Explain Unless You’ve Experienced It

Ploy openly admitted that she once felt deeply lost in life.

For her, being lost was not about “having nothing to do.” It was about:

“Not knowing what you truly want.”

“It felt like there was nothing to hold onto,” she explained.

That period of her life was filled with questions about work, abilities, and the future. Every pitch failed. Every idea was rejected. Eventually, she began wondering:

“Maybe I’m just not good enough.”

But instead of letting herself drown in confusion, she chose to pause and apply the same structured thinking she used professionally to her own life.

She compares having life goals to knowing which restaurant you want to go to. Even if you do not know the exact route yet, at least you know the destination — and you can figure out the next steps from there.

At first, people around her were confused about what she was doing. But for Ploy, the most important thing was not making everyone else understand immediately. It was making sure she understood her own purpose first. Once the purpose became clear, the action plan naturally followed.

Human Design & Self-Discovery Are Meant to Help You Understand Yourself

Another topic Ploy is passionate about is Human Design and self-discovery practices.

She does not see them as rigid systems that define your life, but rather as guidelines that help people reflect on themselves more clearly.

“Before anything else, you need to know what you truly want.”

And if you still do not know, she suggests starting with simple questions:

    • What are you naturally good at?

    • What feels easy or energizing for you?

    • What makes you feel most like yourself?

For Ploy, Human Design is not about telling people who they “must” become. Instead, it acts as a mirror that helps confirm parts of yourself you may already sense deep down.

Why So Many People Stay Stuck

When asked why many people remain stuck in lives they are unhappy with, Ploy answered simply:

    “Fear.”

    Fear of uncertainty.
Fear of making the wrong decision.
Fear of not being able to handle the consequences of change.

But she does not see fear as something negative.

    Instead, she believes:

“Courage is being willing to move forward even while you’re still afraid.”

You do not have to be fearless or perfect. Sometimes simply feeling “ready to change” is enough.

And sometimes, walking forward while still feeling afraid can become a beautiful experience in itself.

Imagine to Reality: Turning Ideas Into Something Real

As both a Producer and Project Manager, Ploy believes the mindset that shaped her most is:

    “Imagine to Reality.”

Everything begins as an idea in your mind. Your responsibility is to make it tangible.

She believes every product, service, and project in the world once started as a tiny idea. The key is learning how to slowly transform something abstract into something real.

“If it doesn’t work yet, keep finding ways until it does.”

She even joked that as a child, she once imagined how amazing it would be if a piece of A4 paper could move around on its own — and today, the world has iPads capable of doing far more than paper ever could.

To her, that is proof that many things that seem impossible today may become possible one day if we never stop imagining and experimenting.

Confidence Does Not Start With Perfection — It Starts With Understanding

Ploy believes confidence can absolutely be built.

But confidence does not come from trying to become perfect.
    It begins with:

    “Knowing what you’re doing.”

She explained that many people lack confidence not because they are incapable, but because they still do not fully understand themselves or their direction yet.

    Her advice is simple:
Start with what feels manageable. Learn step by step. The rest can flow naturally over time.

    After all, nobody is perfect.

How Would You Reset Your Life in 30 Days?

Ploy’s advice is to first ask yourself:

“What do I want my life to look like on Day 30?”

For example, if your goal is changing jobs, your 30-day target might simply be securing a new opportunity. From there, break it into weekly action steps.

    But most importantly:

Do not pressure yourself too much.

Different people thrive under different systems. Some people love strict deadlines. Others grow better gradually.

That is why Ploy’s sessions are not about forcing everyone into the same formula. Instead, they focus on helping each person customize a path that fits them best — because self-understanding remains the foundation of everything.

Who Benefits Most From Talking With Ploy?

    Ploy answered immediately:

“People who are willing to take action.”

No matter how good a template or framework may be, if you never apply it in real life, you will never know what truly works for you.

That is why her sessions go beyond planning. They also include follow-ups and support to help people gradually discover their own path through real action and lived experience.

What Will You Gain From a Session With Ploy?

Ploy summarized it into three key takeaways:

    1. Clearer Goals

Not just what you want to do— but also realistic timelines and direction.

    2. Practical Templates & Tools

Helpful frameworks for people who feel overwhelmed or do not know where to begin.

    3. Discovering Your “Hidden Needs”

Through conversation, many people uncover deeper desires and truths about themselves that they had never fully recognized before.

What She Would Tell Herself During Her Most Lost Moments

Ploy ended the interview with a simple reminder:

    “This too shall pass.”

Time continues moving forward, and sometimes we do not need to rush ourselves into finding answers immediately.

“Don’t rush to clarify your confusion. Spend some time with it.”

Because one day, those confusing moments may become some of the most valuable lessons in your life.

And perhaps being lost is not such a terrible thing after all.

People who have experienced confusion themselves often develop deeper empathy, greater understanding, and the realization that uncertainty is simply one chapter of life — not the entire story.

“Use your past experiences as lessons, then move forward. The present matters, but your future matters more.”
