Ensuring quality of PI seed & imported seed
Identification of right antagonistic & quality , training growers for right usage
Testing the quality of seed in field & post harvest
Phyto sanitary inspection for local seed program
Collaborating with field team on field selection, bio test for seed production location / sites & verifying the suitability for seed production
Capability building
Connecting with external stake holders , universities to get work on Bio control
Driving the solution for regenerative agriculture for soil reclamation, water use efficiency
Collaborating with Agro field team on implementation of the variety specific BP
Designing training programs
Agro digitization
Work in close coordination with Tech team for bringing in the technology initiative , leverage present Global initiatives, bring in new initiatives available in agro space
Evaluating the tech & establishing the benefit to take it to commercialize scale
Driving a Digitization program in seed production & continuously thriving to introduce available tech to drive productivity
Coordinating for import seed
Work with APAC sector seed resource to align on import seed work stream on short & long term perspective, based on the SDD plan
Ensuring the quality of imported seed during crop period in different source locations & evaluating quality post receipt
Driving strategy for developing alternate sources of advantage varieties in different countries to diversify risk in local seed multiplication program in tropical condition
Design research and experimental programs for driving Green house productivity .
Manage CAPEX, Project, and MOH of Agro Development to serve function operation demand in operation necessity, operation capacity, productivity, safety, and business sustainability to meet AOP.
Best practices implementation & Productivity
Support seed multiplication team on SOPs to be followed from planting to harvest for the seed multiplication program
Driving in farm & inventory handling post-harvest for early Generation ( G0 & G1 )
Compliances & Safety
Ensure that every execution has to do with safety and compliance to Agro Work process, GCS, and company policy
Implementation of EHS policy at all operation levels – Facility
Manage and build a career path and sustainable development of both functional and leadership capabilities of the Agro Development team in order to provide a successor plan to the business.
Coach direct reports to build a collaboration culture within the team and also cross-functions
Provide constructive feedback and motivate a team with a good environment and discipline to deliver business results.
Build a culture of safety and security at work and work-life balance for the Agro Development team.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural extension management agricultural procurement management or agricultural processing management.
Having sound technical knowledge of crop agronomy. Knowledge of potato agronomy will be an added advantage
Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically, and across multiple cultures
This is a People manager Role. So, a person should have experience in handling teams, interpersonal skills, team player, strong problem-solving skills, strategic business thinking, project management
Strong internal and external collaborator, influencer, and negotiator. Strong focus on delivery and results with high drive and energy levels.
Excellent computer literacy (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, )
Written and oral English language skills are preferred. Local language Competency- Thai language will be added benefit as Team members mostly speak Thai
Able to work in the upcountry (North Thailand)
