The Procurement and Logistics Specialist's primary function is to ensure the company's smooth operation through the timely and cost-effective acquisition of necessary goods and services, encompassing transportation, delivery, and import/export activities. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, outsourcing providers, vendors, and internal staff to guarantee order fulfillment. Furthermore, the specialist will work with logistics service providers to facilitate the efficient movement of shipments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Guarantee the precise and prompt completion of all purchase orders and deliveries.
2) Observe and address any issues related to supplier performance (including delivery, import/export, and logistics providers), ensuring service quality meets required standards.
3) Engage in the selection process for new suppliers as required.
4) Manage supplier invoices for payment in line with company guidelines.
5) Coordinate with transportation companies to ensure efficient and appropriate shipment handling.
6) Scrutinize purchase orders and shipping documents to verify accuracy.
7) Arrange specialized shipping when necessary.
8) Collaborate with the Logistics team to oversee distribution and shipment budgets.
9) Execute additional procurement and logistics tasks as assigned.
