Overview Of Position
The Assistant Cage Manager is critical to the seamless running of the cage area. They support the Finance & Accounting Manager by monitoring cash transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and upholding outstanding customer service. They will also supervise cage staff, address customer queries, and manage cash flows within the club. The ideal candidate should possess club or financial services management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a dedication to secure, efficient financial transactions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Finance & Accounting Manager in managing the cage's daily operations, ensuring efficient and secure cash handling.
- Manage cash flows, including cash deposits/withdrawals, verifying large transactions, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy.
- Handle customer transactions and inquiries with prompt, courteous service, improving the customer experience.
- Work with security and surveillance teams to maintain cash operation integrity and comply with gaming regulations.
- Help develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance cage operations and customer service.
- Help prepare reports and audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and resolve issues or disputes related to cage operations, escalating more complex issues to the Finance & Accounting Manager.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of Cage operations, including the Front window gaming operations and Cage support functions- Main Banks.
- Lead UAT and Quality Assurance buy-off initiatives for system enhancements related to Cage Operation.
- Train and guide Team Members in using systems related to Cage operation.
- Ensure the departments policies and procedures are consistent and compliant with the Government Internal Control Requirements, the Company’s Internal Control Standards, and local laws, regulations, and instructions.
- Ensure the department’s compliance with Anti–Money Laundering and reporting controls and standards.
- Ensure exceptions, variances, issues, and policy deviations identified are reviewed and addressed appropriately.
- Positively contribute to the Cage system to improve Cage operational efficiency.
- Ensure scheduling is performed fairly and equitably in all Cage areas and that rosters are developed to complement business demand for Cage Supervisor level and below.
- Ensure all daily reports supplied to finance are accurate and offer guidance to Team Members when required.
- Evaluate and provide guidance and feedback to direct reports and other Cage Team Members to maintain and enhance operations of the Cage department.

KEY FUNCTIONS
Supervision and Leadership
- Assist in supervising and coordinating the activities of cage personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure the team operates effectively and efficiently.
Cash Management
- Oversee the handling of large sums of cash, Tito tickets, and other monetary instruments to maintain accuracy and security.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations related to cash transactions.
Transaction Oversight
- Monitor and authorize financial transactions, including currency exchanges and Tito ticket redemption.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently to maintain customer satisfaction.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and procedures related to cash handling and financial transactions.
- Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard cash, Tito tickets, and other assets within the cage area.
Customer Service
- Maintain high standards of customer service by resolving issues, answering inquiries, and providing assistance to club patrons.
- Foster a positive customer service environment among cage staff to enhance the overall customer experience.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on cage operations, including daily reconciliations, variances, and transaction logs.
- Ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cash, Tito tickets, and other monetary instruments to ensure an adequate supply for operational needs.
- Coordinate with finance and procurement departments to manage cash flow and replenishment of cage supplies.
Training and Development
- Assist in training new cage employees on procedures, regulations, and customer service standards.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of cage personnel.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with other departments, such as finance, compliance, and surveillance, to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively with club management and staff to address operational issues and improve efficiency.
Security and Risk Management
- Implement security protocols to protect assets, prevent fraud, and mitigate risks associated with cash handling and transactions.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
