Your Responsibility
The DataX Head of Data Governance champions the DataX Data Governance and Data Initiatives and is accountable for the definition of Data Governance strategies for DataX. You will provide data governance performance reports to the Executive Data Governance Council (EDGC)
Data Vision
- Responsible for defining and driving DataX Data Governance Strategy and overall objectives and deliver Data Governance initiatives
- Accountable for championing and promoting awareness and effective use of data
- Accountable for improving knowledge about data as an asset
Data Governance Policy
- Accountable for establishing policies & process frameworks to ensure effective data governance across centralized data hub
- Accountable for embedding, communicating & enforcing data governance policy and processes for centralized data hub
- Accountable to ensure alignment with SCBx policies and standards
- Champion Data Governance program to achieve enterprise benefits
- Monitor, review, and evaluate progress on Data Governance effectiveness
- Escalate unresolved data issues and risks to Executive Data Governance Committee
Data Sharing & Access
- Accountable to assess data sharing opportunity in centralized data hub and to setup data sharing agreement
- Accountable to evaluate and monitor data access in centralized data hub
Data Quality
- Oversee data quality processes & management across DataX
- Informed on the overall data health & Data Quality performance metrics
Metadata Management & Data Lineage
- Oversee the formalization and enforcement of data dictionary usage and maintenance of the data dictionary across DataX
- Informed about data lineage monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, developing, building team of Data Governance in large organizations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of data in all layers and structures of the enterprise
- Strategic view of how high performing data management enables business goals
- Executive Communications – develop and clearly articulate a compelling data governance & data initiatives vision that inspires and influences stakeholders and exhibit a strong executive presence with excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Leadership – develop talent and assemble a highly effective team
