Head of Accounting (Budgeting & Performance)

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting & Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process for King Power Group and all subsidiaries.

• Coordinate with business units and department heads to gather assumptions, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and finalize budget submissions.

• Monitor budget execution, providing early warnings of deviations from plan and recommend corrective actions.

Performance Analytics

• Analyze financial and operational performance at the department, location, company, and group level.

• Develop performance dashboards and KPIs to track business trends, cost efficiency, and profitability.

• Provide in-depth variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, with meaningful business commentary.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end management reports to senior executives and stakeholders.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across entities.

• Standardize and continuously improve reporting processes and tools.

Strategic Decision Support

• Support leadership with scenario modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and financial impact assessments of key initiatives.

• Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and optimize resource allocation.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and group policies in budgeting and reporting processes.

• Work closely with external and internal auditors as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred

• Minimum 10 years of experience in budgeting, performance analysis, or financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role

• Strong understanding of financial modeling, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and reporting tools

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to present complex data in a clear manner

• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
