In this role, you’re expected to:
- Serve as the regional execution specialist for institutional funds.
- Take ownership and responsibility of the execution business, strategizing growth opportunities.
- Provide regional trading coverage to develop and maintain Citi’s client relationships.
- Act as the execution and relationship lead for local and foreign asset managers.
- Market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales, Research, and Traders to maximize client revenue.
- Cross-sell into EE, PT, Block, Swaps, ETFs, PB, Derivatives, etc.
- Ensure proficiency and compliance in dealing with Facilitation and Block desks.
- Be well-versed in ECM situations and provide client advisory on deals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Lead strong governance and controls.
- Partner with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
- Foster a culture of responsible finance, good governance, supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
- Assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, considering the firm’s reputation.
- Adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
- Follow all policies and procedures relevant to your role and maintain all required registrations/licenses within the appropriate timeframe.
- Demonstrate sound ethical judgment in personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining client relationships, from acquisition to managing prominent institutional accounts.
- Strong knowledge of equity trading, different trading strategies, the market place, and market issues.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in additional languages is desired.
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
