Collaborate with Technical Specialists to produce quality test artefacts including plans, test summaries and scripts ensuring business/system requirements are met.
Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results.
Report defects to relevant teams using JIRA and own these defects through to resolution.
Complete tasks within the agreed timelines set, working with the team to ensure that tasks are completed on time.
Gain industry/business knowledge and relate these back to SS&C systems processing.
Take ownership for the management of your own assigned work, managing timescales in order to meet deadlines.
Provide coaching to less experienced individuals within the team where applicable.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Managing your own performance, career and personal development - in conjunction with your line manager and in reference to the SS&C standard frameworks.
Write, review and executing test scripts/cases, ensuring that they meet provided requirements and technical design objectives.
Complete any other appropriate ad hoc tasks as directed by your manager.
Qualification:
2-5 years of QA experience
Degree in computer science or other relevant qualification
Self-motivation to help the team transform from manual to be the automated testing
Good knowledge of QA methodologies including the test planning
Good understanding of the SDLC and Software Testing Lifecycle is a plus
Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure to meet the deadlines
Experience with developing and maintaining Automation scripts and Automation Frameworks is a plus
Good communication and interpersonal skill
