Tendering Engineer

About The Role:

• Assumes the Proposal Manager’s role for small proposals.
• Provides supports as required by Proposal Manager for assigned proposals preparation such as:
• Supports Proposal Manager on the BID preparation after approved INVEST until proposal closure (e.g. handover and archiving) to ensure works comply with T.EN Group gateways.
• Monitors to ensure timely completion of proposals and highlight if there are any potential delay and propose mitigation plan
• Integrating, editing and formatting based on draft write ups received from Proposal Manager and disciplines such that the final proposal packages are completed with all relevant documents requested in the ITB package
• Liaises with Estimating Engineer for approved final pricing and breakdown to be incorporated in the Commercial Proposal
• Recheck the consistency of information which is received from relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure that all supporting documents of proposal are up to date.
• Liaises with relevant Departments for typical attachments required (i.e. CV’s, company profile and brochures, company workload, past project experience, POA, etc.)
• Coordinate with Finance & Accounting Department to prepare the Bid Security (if required), and duty stamp for successful BIDs.
• Identify potential risks for particular proposals
• Support Tendering Department Manager on the following:
• Maintain and update tendering databases
• Follow-up with Proposal Manager on the status of all BIDs.
• Archiving of closed-out proposals folders (i.e. on XAIT, P: and V: drives, and from the Tendering Mailbox)
• Prepare, updates and implements necessary company and department procedures
• Reviews and suggests to the Tendering Department Manager any improvement to the existing relevant procedures
• Support in internal auditing activities as required
• Supports Business Development Managers for preparation of pre-qualifications

About You:

• Engineering degree with minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in engineering or other project execution disciplines.
• Preferably the person has working experience in the Oil and Gas or Industry
• Competent user of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Team, PowerBI, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)
• Possesses good typing skill
• Maintains confidentiality of Company and Proposal Information
• Self-motivated, hard-working, positive and full-service minded attitude
• Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with multi-tasking activities
• Ability to handle unexpected situations during the proposal preparation period and ensure that proposal is submitted to client on time.
• Ability to filter information and assess priorities
• Good in spoken and written English

• Skill in planning and executing activities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
