Job Purpose:
The Sustainability Manager will enhance the company's occupational health and safety (OHS) performance, aligning with national and international laws and regulations. This role involves engaging internal and external stakeholders to meet the company’s long-term goals, particularly focusing on the safety and well-being of employees. The role also includes collaborating with the senior sustainability manager to elevate the OHS performance of upstream supply chain suppliers through education, assessment, and audits, supporting the company’s sustainability objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
In-House Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety:
- Collaboration: Work closely with relevant functions to implement and enhance occupational health and safety practices within operations to reduce incidents and prevent recurrences.
- Training: Organize annual workshops and sessions to improve the occupational health and safety capabilities of colleagues.
- Database Management: Develop and maintain a systematic database to track and report on occupational health and safety indicators.
Supplier Engagement:
- Education: Conduct educational workshops on occupational health and safety for targeted suppliers.
- Assessment and Audits: Manage online assessments and perform on-site or remote audits of suppliers. Issue improvement plans where necessary and follow up to address non-conformities.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly engage with suppliers to support ongoing improvements in their occupational health and safety practices.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Legal Updates: Stay updated on applicable occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Benchmark Response: Respond to national and international benchmark questionnaires (e.g., DJSI, CDP, FTSE4Good, MSCI, SET Sustainability Award) to improve company performance in occupational health and safety.
Model and Tool Development:
- Model Initiation: Develop practical models, kits, or tools for occupational health and safety practices that can be applied across different regions and target groups to broaden the reporting scope.

Education:
- Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field; Master’s Degree in a related field is a plus.
Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in occupational health and safety implementation and/or auditing.
- Benchmark Experience: Proven experience in responding to sustainability benchmarks such as DJSI, CDP, FTSE4Good, etc.
- Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management.
