JOB OVERVIEW
• We are seeking a highly experienced PM to support the strategic leadership of a department delivering solutions in Health Insurance Solutions and Hospital Information Systems (HIS). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IT (especially healthcare IT), excellent people leadership skills, and a track record of managing complex technology portfolios. This role is crucial in driving innovation, building capabilities, and ensuring successful project delivery across global markets (especially the US, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan).
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support overall leadership and operational management of the department, including strategy execution, performance tracking, and resource planning.
• Drive capability building in health insurance IT (e.g., TPA, payer systems, member/provider portals) and hospital information systems (e.g., EMR, EHR, LIS, RIS).
• Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery across clients and geographies.
• Contribute to business development, suctioning, and pre-sales activities in collaboration with sales and account teams.
• Guide digital transformation initiatives including adoption of low-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Workato), AI, and data-driven solutions.
• Mentor and develop mid-level leaders, including Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Technical Leads.
• Collaborate with oversea branches (OB) in the US, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan healthcare markets to understand needs and align product/service strategies.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, quality standards, and data security regulations in healthcare IT.
• Assist in P&L management, cost control, and budget forecasting for the department.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT field and at least 5 years in project management.
• Good English/Japanese communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent soft skills in understanding/listening to stakeholder expectations and demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder and team management.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on quality enhancement.
• Understanding of health insurance systems (TPA, claims, benefits, portals) and hospital IT (EMR/HIS/EHR) is a plus.
• Experience working with or selling to US and/or Japan/Malaysia/Singapore healthcare markets is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform) and emerging tech (AI, data analytics) is a plus.
• Strong business acumen, people leadership, and cross-cultural communication skills.
• PMP, PgMP, CPHIMS, or relevant certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills
• Exposure to regulatory standards like HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or local equivalents.
• Experience with agile delivery, digital transformation, and enterprise IT architectures.
