Senior Analyst - Coating and Adhesive

Major Responsibilities

• Liaise with analyst team to monitor the overall performance of portfolio companies in Coating and Adhesives business and promptly alert the strategic issues to Division Manager.
• Work closely with pool analyst team to review the analysis of portfolio companies’ performance and identify implication to the business Assist division manager to identify improvement and opportunities area and make recommendation to VP on strategic issues to drive business performance. Align with International Portfolios Management to follow up with Board related matters.
• Identify potential synergy among portfolio companies and GC and execution of the synergy projects in the assigned areas.
• Study business of portfolio companies as well as their operation and support division manager to identify the potential areas that could create synergy/ value creation between them and within GC group.
• Verify the ideas with potential value creation with the portfolio companies. Lead execution of the assigned module of the growth/ synergy / cost saving project.
• Perform in-depth analysis of target segments as well as identify potential growth opportunities and threats in short, medium and long term includes assisting the division manager to develop strategic growth options. Perform in depth analysis of the target segments including, but not limited to, external factors, market application, potential target company, technology, investment & economics, etc.
• Liaise with M&A functions to develop & update M&A playbook aligning with business strategy. Develop comprehensive database for market segments and target companies and keep them update. Work closely with M&A to exchange information and complete the target companies' profile and further develop to the M&A playbook.
• Support Innovation Growth Platforms and CVC on post deal collaboration and long-term innovation projects. Regular discussion with Innovation Growth Platforms and CVC team to exchange and align business and technology long term perspective. Support proof on concept, test case to support CVC post deal collaboration through portfolio companies (where applicable).
• Develop key competencies required for specialty business and able to coach junior staffs. Oversee and plan for the team competency development as well as their career path and ensure their competency gaps has been closed and fulfilled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Tax & Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related
• 3–5 year experiences in working on a full process of BD project (either organic, JV or M&A)
• Experience in working with international environment
• In depth knowledge of chemicals business, preferably in the field of Coating and Adhesive
• Understanding of M&A process, how a JV company being managed effectively
• Knowledge of rules & regulations of each country
• Business understanding of overall PTT Group and subsidiaries
