Researcher - Emerging business (PE, PP Resin)

Major Responsibilities

• Develop product & application development roadmap for new application “program” in GC and target setting, in order to drive polymer business growth in strategic market, as well as creating business value by enhancing high value products and solution.

• Provide technical perspective to business team to develop Strategic Market Plan (SMP), New Application and Product Development (NAPD) and Rapid Market Assessment (RMA) as a team member.

• Lead product & application development including Ideate (with business team and/or customers) new products with differentiated value proposition to customers.

• Resin development, material compound formulation, application, and solution for GC polymers

• Collaboration to development team to design product properties and criteria of application test

• Support product engineering design and simulation (by collaboration to product designer)

• Support product prototyping and support business team to scale-up product/solution to the market

• Lead project in “Stage-gate” process to consideration of gate committee

• Manage and share knowledge; follow intellectual properties management that build-up product and business values to customer and leverage GC competitiveness.

• Strengthen “Innovation Culture” in “Emerging Application Development” team & leverage competency through leadership, coaching, performance management, core behaviors, functional & core competency, career path, engagement, QSHE to serve business growth and GC policy.

• Manage product and application development portfolio and performance and promote continuously improve guidelines, standards and procedures to ensure effective R&D projects execution under GC good governance (GRC) and risk management and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Has strong knowledge in PE, PP resin and its applications such as healthcare packaging/product applications

• Has knowledge or experience about compounding and product processing

• Proactively and high agility

• Fluence using English

• Master or Ph.D. degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied or Industrial Chemistry or equivalent

• 0–3-year experience in Industrial/Academic research experience in Product and Application Development of Polymer/Material science or related industry
