Quality Engineer

Responsibilities Include

• Ensure Quality/Regulatory Assurance to assure full compliance to all applicable standards
• Establishing and maintaining high level of quality within its product line through effective initiation of root cause analysis, corrective action, statistical process control, in process and final inspections, quality plans and overall quality initiatives
• Work closely with process engineering team to ensure the products are met with customer requirements
• Provide support to Manufacturing, Sourcing and Supply Chain functions to resolve technical non-conformance issues affecting functionality, quality & production
• Evaluate non-conforming materials and components, and formulate corrective actions
• Lead and manage business Quality Management System, ISO9001 as well as Customer Audit and Certification activities
• Understand suppliers’ processes and work to implement statistical process control to ensure compliances
• Provide supplier quality support for existing product including supplier approval, Mfg. Process Plan review, raw materials qualification, etc.
• Support technical data on Quality such as Product specifications and Product Stewardship in SAP system
• Participate in ISO14001 and ISO 45001 with implementation process and support Quality Management Systems.
• Encourage all staff to comply with EHS regulations including quality policy and requirements.
• Review your safety procedures every time to perform pre-startup for both new and modified facilities. This rule applies even if the procedural changes only affect a single component or process.
• Ensuring each change also requires the following considerations: 1) the technical basis for the change. 2) The impact of the change on worker safety and health. 3) Necessary modifications to operating procedures. 4) The necessary time period for the change. 5) Authorization requirements for the proposed change.
• Work closely with Production, Supply Chain and Sales team to ensure customer satisfaction of product samples and product quality
• Ensuring Quality Management System e.g. ISO9001, Halal are sustained.
• Leading GMP implementation.

Qualifications

The following are required for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Sciences.
• >5 years of experience in QC and QA activities.
• Proficient with laboratory equipment and instrument.
• Computer literacy and good command of English.
• Safety & Quality mindset.
• Background from chemical manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Management System e.g. ISO/TS16949, ISO9001, Halal, GMP
• Business acumen with marketing mindset and hands-on experience.
• Good team player and strong leadership and influencing skills.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.
