Molding Technician

Job Summary
Molding Technicians are responsible for operating injection molding machines to produce plastic parts and components. They also perform various tasks related to maintaining equipment, keeping the work area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Operating Injection Molding Machines: Operate machines to produce plastic parts and components according to specifications. Monitor temperature, pressure, and speed to ensure quality.

• Maintaining Equipment: Inspect, repair, or replace worn or broken parts. Lubricate moving parts regularly to prevent wear.

• Assembling Products: Assemble plastic parts into finished products using hand tools and other equipment.

• Quality Control: Check quality of parts and components against specifications. Adjust machines as needed to improve product dimensions, shape, or appearance.

• Monitoring Processes: Closely monitor production processes, identify issues, and take corrective action to meet standards.

• Maintaining Work Area Cleanliness: Keep work area clean and organized by removing waste, sweeping floors, and wiping down equipment.

• Managing Inventory: Track raw material usage, update inventory records, and label/package finished products for storage or shipment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a vocational school or higher in engineering or technical fields.

• No prior experience required, but relevant training or certification in injection molding is beneficial.

• Strong safety awareness when working with hazardous chemicals and machinery.

• High attention to detail to ensure product quality.

• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.

• Basic troubleshooting ability to resolve machine or equipment issues.

• Flexibility and adaptability to handle changes in schedules, equipment malfunctions, or unexpected events.
