Lead in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic IT plan, ensuring its coherence with the overall strategic plan.
Provide leadership, vision, and management to the department.
Set objectives, work schedules and training to ensure that all systems (hardware and software) are functional and operational, that all applications are available and that proper processes and communications are in place to support user continuity.
Oversee the revision of the IT strategic plan on an annual basis.
Meet and obtain input from the management team and key users on quality of service and operational requirements.
Plan and deploy appropriate solutions to improve the quality of service. • Work with the management team to provide implementation plans for future strategic requirements and assist in long-term decision and planning.
Prepare and present the status of services and progress of projects being delivered to the management team on a regular basis. • Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for the company
Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel.
Manage departmental budget.
Supervise, develop and produce management reports as required, e.g., IT budget and plan
Qualifications
BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
At least 8 yrs of experience in related field in a large organizational and/or functional business unit.
