Head of Accounting (Budgeting & Performance)
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting & Planning
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process for King Power Group and all subsidiaries.
Coordinate with business units and department heads to gather assumptions, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and finalize budget submissions.
Monitor budget execution, providing early warnings of deviations from plan and recommend corrective actions.
Performance Analytics
Analyze financial and operational performance at the department, location, company, and group level.
Develop performance dashboards and KPIs to track business trends, cost efficiency, and profitability.
Provide in-depth variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, with meaningful business commentary.
Financial Reporting
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and year-end management reports to senior executives and stakeholders.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data across entities.
Standardize and continuously improve reporting processes and tools.
Strategic Decision Support
Support leadership with scenario modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and financial impact assessments of key initiatives.
Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and optimize resource allocation.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and group policies in budgeting and reporting processes.
Work closely with external and internal auditors as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in budgeting, performance analysis, or financial reporting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role
Strong understanding of financial modeling, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and reporting tools
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to present complex data in a clear manner
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
