Head of Payment Strategy & Growth
Lead the development and implementation of payment strategies across Southeast Asian markets, aligning with Alibaba International and Lazada’s broader business goals to drive growth and enhance user experience.
Analyze market trends, user behaviors, and regulatory shifts to identify innovation opportunities and mitigate risks, adjusting strategies as needed.
Improve key payment performance indicators—such as conversion rates, transaction success rates, and customer satisfaction—to increase user retention and optimize costs.
Work cross-functionally with teams including product, marketing, partnerships, and operations to lead payment-related initiatives and improve end-to-end payment processes.
Build, lead, and mentor the payment solutions team, promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; an MBA or advanced degree is advantageous.
At least 8 years of experience in payment strategy, preferably in e-commerce or fintech, with a proven ability to drive business growth.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, coaching, and scaling high-performing teams.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities, with a talent for building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Highly analytical, with strong data interpretation skills and experience conducting A/B testing to guide strategic decisions.
Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus but not required.
Willingness to travel regularly to oversee operational execution and stakeholder engagement across the region.
