How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Provide test application training and support to Contract Manufacturer (CM) test engineering teams. Assist with difficult product debug problems.
- Review production test data and look for opportunities to optimize product test applications (reduce test durations, reduce cost of test, enhance product quality).
- Provide support for the development of production test capacity models.
- Support test sequences validation using National Instruments TestStand, LabWindows CVI tools and Python.
- Support BScan applications.
- Site program focal person for planning and introduction of change (ECO) associated with test programs.
- Help to analyze product manufacturing quality issues, conduct failure analysis, and perform RCAs. Provide feedback of problems encountered in manufacturing to Nokia’s R&D, quality, and process engineering teams.
- Look for opportunities & implement test process optimizations at Functional & System level tests to drive cost reductions, quality and deliver improvements. Add automation using National Instruments TestStand and CVI tools and investigate opportunities to remove non-effective tests.
- Help Contract Manufacturer engineers for cost effective trouble-shooting practices with the goal of minimizing bone pile.
- Conduct debug review meeting with CM failure analysis engineers to monitor CM debug performance.
- Help to develop web-based product debug guides for production test and debug personnel.
- Be responsible for Nokia owned test equipment (asset management), spare part strategies, maintenance strategies and repair strategies of defective equipment.
Key Skills And Experience
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):
Non-technical:
- Experienced test engineer who works well in a team or independently in a multi-disciplined and culturally diverse organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Self-motivated, innovative, quick learner.
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment managing multiple issues simultaneously.
- Decisive.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, comfortable and confident explaining problems and delivering presentations.
Technical:
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with board and system level manufacturing test support.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in a Manufacturing Environment
- Ability to read product schematics and perform digital circuit analysis. Experienced in analyzing hardware failures and production data to identify trends and troubleshoot failures.
- Experienced in the use of standard test tools like oscilloscopes, meters and traffic generators for production testing and debugging.
- Experienced in NI Test Stand, Labwindow/CVI and Python application support.
Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):
- Familiar with Asset JTAG test equipment.
- Familiar with In-Circuit-Test application.
- Familiar with IP and other telecom technologies.
- Experienced in the use of production data collection tools and product data management tools like Agile.
- Experience in configuring/troubleshooting computer hardware and software will be an asset.
- Familiarity with HTML editors like Dreamweaver or related web development tools.
