Owns the Financial impact sizing-and-approval process, tracking & reporting of Value Execution Workstreams
Single source of truth Financial data: Manages generation of historical financial / P&L / cost data – to be shared to Transformation Office & workstreams – for size of prize calculation, initiative impact sizing, business case, etc.
Transformation-wide Financial logic: Helps set up baseline and valuation principle of the Transformation, standardizes across Wholesale & Retail Business Groups
Workstream-wide and/or Initiative-specific Financial logic: Helps provide a guide to Initiative Owners and/or Young Leaders on financial impact calculations, align on baseline & key assumptions, approve impact estimation logic, and tracking across initiatives
IL3 Business-case approval: Validates all initiatives, ensures plans are both aggressive and achievable, reviews and approves each initiative business case impact calculation (excel) at IL3 level; endorses initiative business case to CFO for IL3 sign-off
IL4 Business-case approval: Evaluates savings valuation business case, endorses to CFO for IL4 sign-off
Dashboard reporting: Assists in automating financial dashboard logic and process to sync with regular Business As Usual (BAU) reporting for Weekly TO meeting reporting
Communicates the financial ambition and financial tracking of the Transformation
Works with CTO, CFO and workstream Sponsors & Leads to communicate P&L budget targets and progress effectively
Liaises with cost management teams, especially on any questions on targets, budgets, and dashboards
Identifies financial trends that could affect future financial target achievement
Owns trend analyses to forecast future monthly impact and compares against monthly financial targets
Anticipates and recommends solutions for financial issues that arise (e.g. data quality, data standardization across Business Groups)
Skills:
Financial Expertise: A strong background in finance, accounting, or a related field, with experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of financial modeling and business case development is also essential. Able to integrate both accounting/finance and information systems setup for data pulls
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights that support decision-making. The ability to develop and analyze financial models is also important. Ability to critically review and link financial deviations with operational KPI implications
Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and align financial management with the organization’s broader transformation goals. This includes understanding the financial implications of strategic decisions and being able to provide advice on the best course of action.
Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to senior leaders and other stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills are also important, as the Finance Lead must work effectively with other members of the transformation office and across the organization.
Deep understanding of accounting and finance practices within the organization, ideally for both Wholesale and Retail Business Groups
