Electrical Design Lead

Your Responsibilities

• You will coordinate & lead multiple/complex projects within budget by meeting all KPI's (Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Budget), design & execute the project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards Viz IEC, ANSI, IEEE etc., review and approve scope, budget, schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables.
• You will complete risk, opportunity assessment and ensure implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility, create work plan and cost estimate in one’s area of responsibility, provide cost effective quality solution as per customer requirement and deliver within budget and contract, ensure adherence to safety standard and mitigation of potential risks.
• You will interact with customers, officials, contractors and others, attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments, tender execution as per customer/FACTS requirement, preparation of Manufacturing documents for cubicles, preparation of FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary), design and estimate of Aux. AC & DC power requirements.
• You will design of LV, MV Switch boards including battery systems, UPS and Voltage stabilizers, estimate & sizing of LV Aux. power, control cables, communication cables & Indication cables, preparation of specification and request for proposal documents for cubicles, cable, junction boxes, Aux. system etc.
• You will purchase of cubicle, cable, Junction boxes, AC & DC switch boards, MV Switchgear, Battery system, UPS & Voltage stabilizers etc., co-ordinate with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/Commissioning), review and coordination with vendor/supplier drawings for Electrical deliverables including primary equipment.
• You will evaluate of sub-supplier and selection as per project requirement, involve in customer FAT according to project demand, Site and commissioning support as per requirement, development and support activities for continuous process improvements, preparation of As Built Drawings, development, training and mentorship for Junior resources.

Your Background

• You hold bachelor's degree.
• 10 to 14 years of experience in Substation secondary/EPC design or project execution or HVDC control & protection hardware design.
• Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
