Devops Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software development teams to deploy software projects safely and efficiently
• Understand project and client requirements and designing and implementing DevOp solutions to ensure proper functionality 
• Identifying and rectifying technical issues, and escalating or alerting relevant parties as required (i.e. Technical Leads and Project Managers) 
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres to the deployment and sprint deadlines
• Maintain project documentation in Jira, Confluence and other tools as required
• Anticipating if deployment milestones or deadlines are unlikely to be met, and alerting senior management 
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Incident management and root cause analysis on security breaches
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
• Mentoring and guiding junior team members
• Ad-hoc tasks as required by the company
• A bachelor degree in computer science is a plus.
