Your Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is critical to the success of our Asia-Pacific Industrial Adhesives Business Unit (BU)
Drive sales and influence others to drive the Business Unit through strategic planning, targeted upskilling, and collaboration
Set and execute the strategy in alignment with the General Manufacturing (GM) business direction team
Lead, develop, and support regional and global strategies and development plans within key strategic market segments in line with business strategy and ensuring execution, for near, mid and long term
Build strong customer relationships with key, industry leaders and identify and develop new customers within those industries
Think critically to identify, define, and research market trends, competitive activity, and future development opportunities for the business
Recognize new applications, NPIs and innovation opportunities in identified market segments and target customers to develop sales tools, processes, solutions
Develop and foster internal relationships with strategic collaboration across multiple functional areas: Regional Leaders,
Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management, Product Managers, Application Engineers, Innovation Managers, and relevant stakeholders on projects or initiatives
YOUR SKILLS
Degree in Business / Marketing / Engineering or equivalent. MBA is an added advantage
At least 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, Engineering, or Business development field
Proven sales experience selling through B2B Industrial Sales
Excellent project management, time management and communication skills
Able to prioritize, organize, and execute deliverables
Excellent communication, questioning, and presentation skills
Able to build strong relationships, lead, and influence others to accomplish objectives
Skilled with change management, negotiation, and ability to handle volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)
Proficient computer and digital skills (Microsoft Office, CRMs, research platforms)
Experience in the Chemical industry is an advantage
Experience in Manufacturing industry is an advantage
