Ensure that all design work complies with health and safety legislation, sustainable building standards, and industry codes of practice, emphasizing sustainability and environmental considerations.
Take a lead role in optimizing retail space layouts to maximize customer flow, enhance product visibility, and optimize space utilization while aligning with the company's merchandising strategy.
Oversee the placement of construction signage within the store layout to effectively communicate important information while maintaining an appealing and organized store flow.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that design, layout, and fixture placement meet stringent quality standards and adhere to design specifications.
Collaborate closely with construction teams to ensure seamless execution of design plans, layout, and fixture placement during the construction phase.
Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
Review engineering and architectural drawings to ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, specifications, and industry standards.
Qualification:
Bachelors or Master Degree in architecture, interior design, construction management, or a related field
10 -15 years of in design construction management of estate units and related site planning experience with good knowledge of building and M&E system.
10-15 years of progressive construction management and project execution experience in a technical industry
Minimally, 7 - 10 years demonstrated experience in a leadership position directing a complex and multi-faceted Facilities program.
Professional registration as an engineer or a construction manager certification.
Familiarity with design software e.g., AutoCAD
Significant experience in directing and managing professional personnel and operations is required, particularly with collaborative based approaches.
Strong understanding of Facilities business acumen (which includes budgeting, cost allocations, financial reporting, project cost estimating and ROI analysis.
Track record of fostering a culture of safety and compliance
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide constituency, including hourly workers, inter-departmental staff, outside organizational representatives, consultants, professionals, land lords and their representatives.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable. Shifting priorities seamlessly and effortlessly.
