Job Purpose

• Analyst, Tax Planning works under Tax Policy and Strategy section within Tax Department and reports directly to Tax Policy and Strategy Manager. The job holder is responsible for implementing good practice of tax policy and strategy for PTTEP group’s operation as well as providing tax advice and support to business within PTTEP group both domestic and overseas activities.
• The main scope of taxes involved are petroleum income tax, corporate income tax, value added tax, specific business tax and stamp duty.

Key Accountabilities

Tax Law and Policy

• Develop and implement tax strategies and plans to support PTTEP group on tax related matters;
• Study and develop the appropriate tax policy and procedure to align with business direction including providing tax standard, guideline and practice;
• Study and keep up to date tax policy, laws, regulations, practices, trends and impact of tax planning and provide recommendation on tax planning scheme, tax structure and best practices for PTTEP group business interests.

Tax Advisory

• Advise tax solutions to ensure tax issues are properly addressed and managed for overall PTTEP group performance;
• Review, analyse and evaluate financial information, business and commercial context relevant to tax matters for optimization of tax implementation;
• Study and analyse tax impact and suggest tax strategy for new business development, investment, operating assets and JV assets;
• Manage all tax aspects of acquisitions, dispositions and other business development transactions;
• Review commercial contracts and other documents on tax issues and address the appropriate context to be included in the contracts;
• Co-ordinate and work closely with relevant parties on tax planning activities;
• Support the Tax Compliance team by providing technical tax analysis and other assistance on an as-required basis;
• Liaise, provide instructions, and ensure appropriate and effective work of both local and overseas tax advisors on tax implications and advice.

Government Affair

• Co-ordinate with tax authorities and other government agencies regarding tax strategy ideas and implementation
• Act as PTTEP group’s representative for discussion on tax issues and involve in industrial tax task force.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• Bachelor or Master degree in Tax, Accounting or Law
• At least 3-5 years of experience in tax field
• Possess appropriate supervisory experiences / team leading ability
• Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge in E&P and related business with international practice
• Good communication in English (TOEIC = 750 at minimum)
