Senior Engineer, Facility Project & Operation

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee all Facility Projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of high-quality results.

- Direct the Facility Operation team in managing all facility buildings, machines, and equipment to ensure a consistent energy supply across all areas and to optimize energy consumption.

- Manage Facility Automation Systems, including their setup, operation, maintenance, and repair.

TASKS:

- Work with functional and Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to manage projects from initial concept through design and execution phases, ensuring system requirements are met while delivering safe, high-quality results within budget and on time.

Supervise the Facility Operation team to guarantee a stable and optimized energy supply to the production area.

- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and quality standards are maintained in all work delivered to customers.

- Develop and implement procedures, work instructions, regulations, and operational plans for facility operations.

- Collaborate with the HSE team to develop and update Risk Assessments, Safety Operation Instructions, and facility standards, and conduct annual reviews.

- Maintain the Master Training Matrix and submit it for approval, develop training materials, and train the facility team and relevant personnel.

- Meet facility human resource objectives through recruitment, onboarding, training, development, assignment, scheduling, coaching, and discipline, communicate expectations, monitor performance, and provide evaluations.

- Develop engineering talent and mentor senior technicians in the Facility Department.

- Lead facility operations, including troubleshooting and predictive maintenance, to ensure safety and machine reliability.

- Analyze data to set monthly operational priorities, assess efficiency, cost savings, energy conservation, operator convenience, safety, and environmental quality, and estimate timelines.

- Contribute to strategic planning through energy-saving and productivity initiatives; resolve operational issues promptly.

- Meet financial targets by providing budget inputs, monitoring expenditures, and identifying and addressing variances.

- Ensure contingency plans are implemented according to scenarios and properly documented.

- Evaluate the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment and identify problems and requirements.

- Improve facility systems and equipment by analyzing results, identifying opportunities, and implementing changes or expansions.

- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

- Stay updated with technical knowledge through training and reading technical publications.

- Support the organization’s mission by achieving related goals and completing assigned tasks.

- Oversee all automation systems, including operation, troubleshooting, repair, and setup.

- Report to the Manager and perform additional duties as assigned.
