POSITION OVERVIEW The Plant Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing manufacturing policies and programs to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role provides leadership in operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration. RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage plant operations to comply with safety and environmental regulations while producing the necessary quantity and quality of product. • Develop and monitor production schedules to ensure timely shipping according to customer expectations. • Initiate cost improvements and adjust production procedures to meet production goals safely and efficiently. • Coordinate and collaborate with business stakeholders. • Control the environmental impact of operations by monitoring plant effluents and emissions, ensuring plant-wide compliance. • Ensure employee safety by complying with occupational safety and health regulations. • Promote a culture where accidents are preventable. • Ensure that employees follow safety procedures, practices, and policies by guiding Area Managers and Production Supervisors. • Conduct monthly meetings with Supervisors and Leads. • Assist colleagues in developing job proficiency and safety awareness by identifying training needs. • Encourage subordinates to develop ideas for operational and equipment improvements. • Review and approve subordinates' recommendations on personnel or rate changes, and participate in creating company policies. • Participate in determining proper staffing levels. • Participate in the review process, providing input and approving evaluations. • Contribute to long-range planning decisions, including capital equipment purchases, layout changes, and production methods. • Support and administer company policies, communicating new policies and objectives to employees. • Monitor inventory levels to maintain them within established limits.
