POSITION OVERVIEW • Manage packaging development processes for both existing and new products, ensuring all Packaging Development Requirements are clearly defined, planned, documented, and executed in accordance with PVN, Group PD, and National Quality Standards. • Provide assistance with Layout Development tasks (coordinated by the Marketing Department). • Develop packaging guidelines for production, guiding the Production Department through the packaging process. • Share relevant information about Packaging Materials with other Departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES 1) Managing Packaging Development Activities a) Oversee thorough testing (packing line trials, ASLT, Transportation tests, etc.) for New and Existing Packaging Materials, examining machinability, product protection, and stability. b) Confirm the suitability of new packaging machinery with the M&E team. c) Provide comprehensive and detailed testing results to be shared with relevant Departments. d) Lead the creation of Packaging Items test methods and corresponding SOPs. 2) Layout Development Support a) Help the Supervisor in preparing Technical Documents (TD) on preliminary and secondary packaging, leading to final package technical standards. b) Create Technical Documents (TD) for corrugated cartons, culminating in final package technical standards. c) Review and approve layouts of new packaging items for QC incoming inspectors. 3) Creating Packaging Production Guidelines and Directing the Production Department a) Based on product packaging needs from the Marketing Department/NPD Export and the specifications of the packaging machine, develop detailed production packaging guidelines. b) Ensure the Production Department adheres to these guidelines throughout the packaging process. 4) Providing Information and Documentation to other Departments a) Develop Technical Specifications for Packaging Materials, supported by necessary documentation (Supplier Technical Data Sheets, Food Safety Certificates, etc.). b) Manage the commercial package Bill of Materials (BOM). c) Set tentative finished goods standards. 5) Other Responsibilities a) Offer support for daily production activities related to packaging processes and quality enhancements. b) Suggest cost-saving initiatives for packing materials while maintaining rational quality/cost levels. c) Support the Production Department in addressing and resolving packaging quality issues. d) Aid in preparing samples for meetings. e) Properly manage material samples and product remnants after trials (following 5S principles). f) Oversee Master Data for Packaging Materials and information related to packing equipment systems. g) Manage Quality System (ISO) documentation.
