Job objective:
- Identify unmet consumer needs and potential market segments for brands to penetrate and succeed within those segments.
- Define product specifications to effectively address unmet needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Business research & evaluation:
- Define Issues & Opportunities to propose Jobs to Be Done (JTBDs) for brands.
- Develop and execute market research plans (covering categories, consumers, competitors, customers, influencers).
- Monitor brand equity and gather insights for brand communication.
- Create, maintain, and enhance a competitive market intelligence database and system.
2. Consumer Insights Leaders (CiLs) building & management:
- Recruit CiLs, build specific CIL groups, and guide conversations with them to encourage input for innovation and brand equity JTBD.
- Maintain strong relationships and ensure high participation of CiLs in continuous product improvements and innovations.
- Explore and leverage CiLs to discover insights and urgent consumer needs that our solutions must tackle to win.
3. Product development & evaluation:
- Based on consumer insights, define unmet needs to design solutions.
- Describe product features and communicate effectively with R&D to develop suitable solutions or identify necessary technology and models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate product's 6Ps: total offer to satisfy consumer needs (hot button list, story board test, offline TVC, packaging test, product test with CTI, channel test, pilot assessment, post-launch evaluation).
4. Lead and develop team members.
5. Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
