Assistant Project Management Manager (Fashion Retail Store)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Reviewing drawings to determine if changes are needed.
• Discussing project details with teammates, principals, and brands to understand their needs and expectations.
• Overseeing the work of contractors to ensure that they are completing projects on time and within budget.
• Inspecting work sites for safety hazards and ensuring that safety measures are being followed.
• Managing the finances of a project by tracking expenditures and generating reports.
• Working with principals to develop store plans for building construction or renovation projects.
• Maintaining contact with subcontractors to coordinate materials and supplies needed for construction.
• Overseeing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks
• Track and directly report project status updates to project manager
• Help problem solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
• Schedule meetings, phone calls, BOQs, CAPEX, site visits etc.
• Consult and gather information from technicians, engineers, contractors, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture/ Interior or Construction Management.
• Experience in Design or Construction Project Management industry 3-5 years, especially in retail industry
• Basic understanding of project management, including estimating, planning, scheduling, cost management, materials/purchasing, operations & maintenance
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Provide technical assistance such as interpretation of drawings, recommend construction methods, specify and order parts, tools & equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
• Be willing to work on some out-of-town projects
• Software requirement; Autocad, Sketch up is a must, 3Ds Max with rendering is a plus
• Microsoft office (Especially Excel is a plus)
• Good at English (Writing, Speaking and Listening skills)
