Agronomy Director, Indochina Foods

Responsibilities

• Lead all the Indochina BU Agro function, including formulating of agro strategies and leading agro initiatives.
• Lead the development of both people and production Agro systems.
• Lead the seed development and production.
• Lead the Potato storage & logistics agenda in multiple locations through direct reports
• Deliver the Agro productivity to the Indochina P&L.
• Lead and continue development of the Indochina Farming model.
• Main crop is potato and look to extend to corn and other crops.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of Agro/ Supply Chain experience in cross-cultural environment with multinational organization
• Solid 10+ years with Agro-Business knowledge
• Solid 5-7 years’ experience in delivering productivity across SC Agrobusiness being a key focal point & enabler
• Extensive experience in using and implementing advanced Agro sourcing methodologies, tools and technologies
• Experience in defining, developing and implementing productivity methodologies & processes in a geographically diversified company, with multiple stakeholders
• Experience in supporting development of procurement of Agro products
• Knowledge of delivering process and tools related trainings
• Skilled in managing across a dispersed team of business stakeholders; must have strong selling skills
• Agriculture Graduate: Post graduate degree in Business is preferred
• Relevant functional performance management, compliance management and financial controlling experience
• Analytical Experience in defining and creating procurement reports & dashboards
• Solid English skills (Multilingual such as Thai & other Asian languages) a plus
• Able to communicate business strategies to suppliers (Farmers) as well as internal/external stakeholders (Company and Government)
• Effective people leader including ability to lead cross functional teams (Large Farmers team spread across a large region)
• Track record of being able to drive cross-functional support and resources for projects to deliver results on time.
• Effective project manager who is able to articulate and escalate hurdles quickly and keep driving the projects forward.
• Strong collaboration/matrix management
• Understands and manages key business drivers
