Instagram/TikTok Reel Editor

We’re looking for a short-form editor to cut 30 TikTok/IG Reels per month from a mix of:

• Scripted pieces (clear talking points / structure provided)

• Footage dumps (you find the best moments and build the short yourself)

This role is ideal for someone who understands the algorithms, hook, pacing, and retention, and can consistently turn raw footage into punchy, shareable videos.

What You’ll Do

• Create ~30 short videos/month (vertical 9:16)

• Cut from raw footage, identify standout moments, and build strong hooks

• Add captions/subtitles (clean, readable, timed well)

• Use music/SFX tastefully to boost energy and clarity (not overwhelming)

• Light motion graphics when needed (text callouts, emphasis words, simple memes)

• Deliver platform-ready exports for TikTok + Instagram Reels

• Optional: suggest ideas for recurring formats/series based on what performs

Must-have

• Strong short-form instincts: hook in first 1–2 seconds, fast pacing, clean structure

• Can self-direct when footage isn’t scripted (good taste + good judgment)

• Comfortable iterating quickly with notes

• Reliable delivery cadence (this is volume + consistency)

Preferred

• You actively watch/edit TikTok/Reels and understand current styles

• Experience editing creator content (talking head, vlog, BTS, documentary-ish)

Tools

CapCut / Premiere / DaVinci — all fine.
(If you have a smooth caption workflow, that’s a big plus.)

Deliverables & Workflow

• 30 videos/month (about 1 per day)

• Each video typically: 15–60 seconds (varies by concept)

• We provide footage + direction when scripted; you take initiative when not

• Notes process: usually 1 revision pass per video (more if needed for hero pieces)
