    Senior Institutional and Corporate Business Development Manager

    Position Details

    As a Senior Institutional and Corporate Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of the company’s mutual fund business by identifying, acquiring, and nurturing strategic partnerships and client relationships. You will work closely with institutional investors, and financial intermediaries and corporate clients, to promote and distribute mutual fund products, ensuring the company’s offerings meet the needs of key stakeholders.

    You will be responsible for understanding the business requirements of potential clients, presenting tailored solutions, and maintaining long-term relationships. The role requires an individual who is highly proactive, results-oriented, and able to work collaboratively across teams to achieve business goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Business Development & Sales:

      • Identify and target new institutional and corporate clients for mutual fund sales.

      • Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand the mutual fund distribution network.

      • Promote and sell a wide range of mutual fund products to institutional clients, including insurance companies, corporations, and other intermediaries and other large investors.

      • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within these organizations to understand their investment goals and align them with the company’s offerings.

    • Partnership and Client Relationship Management:

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional and corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships.

      • Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any issues or concerns that arise.

      • Regularly meet with clients to review investment performance, recommend new products, and provide updates on market conditions.

    • Market and Product Expertise:

      • Maintain a deep understanding of the mutual fund market, industry trends, and competitor products.

      • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that products and services meet client needs and market demands.

      • Conduct presentations, workshops, and product training sessions to educate clients and internal teams on mutual fund offerings and investment strategies.

    • Sales Targets & Reporting:

      • Achieve sales targets by developing a pipeline of institutional and corporate clients and executing a robust sales plan.

      • Regularly report on sales performance, client interactions, and market insights to senior management.

      • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, investment management, and legal teams, to ensure that products are aligned with client needs and regulatory requirements.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA, CFP preferred).

    • Experience:

      • At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the asset management, wealth management, or financial services industry (fund management, securities companies, banks, and strong reputed corporates…).

      • Proven experience in selling financial products (ideally mutual funds) to institutional and/or corporate clients.

      • Experience in managing sales accounts and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    • Skills and Competencies:

      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.

      • Good presentation and negotiation skills.

      • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.

      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

      • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
