We are looking for a Person with the following profile:

• Senior with +10 years of experience in the field of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and preparation of EMMP for large infrastructure or energy projects, financed by IFI, experience in the hydropower sector of advantage
• In depth knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and ADB Safeguard Requirements for EIA, EMMP, in particular Health and Safety Aspects
• Experienced in reviews of ESIAs compliant with IFI standards, in particular IFC
• Very good English skills in speaking, reading and writing
• Thai or Lao skills of advantage
• Based in BKK, willing to travel and carry out frequent field works for ESIAs including monitoring of physical environmental parameters for EIA baseline assessments and EHS inspections/audits at construction sites
• Keen on working in an interdisciplinary team for international Hydropower and Renewable Energy Projects in SEA and beyond

Qualifications

• Master Degree (or higher) in Environmental Engineering (or similar)
• Field competence:
• IFI compliant reviews of ESIA and EHS documents
• Frequent Health and Safety reviews of construction sites
• Preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments incl. EMMP, Assessments etc.
• Experience in field surveys to monitor (sampling) physical environmental parameters, such as noise, air quality, and in particular water quality
