Strategic Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Education segment, identifying key opportunities, target segments (e.g., K12, universities, vocational schools, Edtech platforms), and partnership models.
Pipeline Management: Build and manage a robust pipeline of strategic partners, from initial outreach and pitch to negotiation and deal closure. This includes in-depth discussions with merchants to understand their customer approach and identify opportunities to prioritize partners with strong bill query support.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at educational institutions, government bodies (where applicable), and leading education service providers. Listen closely to the needs of school accountants and other key stakeholders.
Partnership Design & Negotiation: Design innovative partnership structures that create mutual value, focusing on deep integration opportunities (e.g., in-app payment solutions, outapp gateway adoption). Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable terms.
Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential competitive threats within the education payment landscape. Continuously observe and optimize our approach based on market insights.
Product & Strategy Input: Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate market needs and partnership requirements into new features, services, and campaigns tailored for the education sector.
Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for the education vertical, monitor performance, and provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior management. Ensure our take rate is well-managed
Extensive BD Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales, with a proven track record of success in the payments, fintech, or education technology sectors.
Education Sector Knowledge (Preferred): Deep understanding of the Vietnamese education ecosystem, including public schools, universities, private institutions, and edtech trends.
Negotiation Expertise: Exceptional negotiation and deal-making skills, with the ability to close large, complex strategic partnerships.
Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex business strategies, identifying long-term growth opportunities rather than just short-term gains. Ability to be more cautious in strategic deals, focusing on long-term benefits rather than just short-term profit sharing.
Communication & Influence: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proactive & Resilient: Highly self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able to learn from past experiences, especially those where overconfidence or inadequate contingency planning led to failures.
