Position in Brief
In the Senior Backend Developer role, the candidate will drive innovative backend solutions, integrating cutting-edge technology and practices to enhance system performance and data security, while fostering collaborative development for end-to-end product excellence. Your role also significantly impacts business efficiency and scalability, contributing to the strategic growth of the company through technological innovation and robust system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with clients to understand their needs, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and providing technical consultation
- Lead the development and managed project timeline of complex web applications using Ruby on Rails. This includes architecture design, coding, and testing
- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in Ruby on Rails. This includes developing complex features, integrating APIs, and optimizing performance for large-scale data processing
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build and deployment processes, and ensuring continuous delivery of high-quality software
- Ensure that applications comply with security standards and data protection laws, and implement security best practices in the development process
- Collaborate effectively with other team members, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure a cohesive and efficient development process
- Guide and mentor junior developers, leading project teams, and contributing to team development and knowledge sharing
- Ensure the quality of code through best practices, conducting code reviews, and maintaining coding standards within the team
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in Ruby on Rails and related technologies, exploring new tools and technologies, and incorporating them into the development process to enhance the company’s offerings
Qualification
Key Requirement
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a software development-related role
- A minimum of 3 years of experience using Ruby On Rails
- Experience in
- Hands-on advanced technical skills in Ruby On Rails
- Database design principles and experience with database management and optimization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically with an innovative solutions mindset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
It’s a plus, if you have
- Prior experience working in data-intensive solutions
- Experience in guiding, mentoring, and leading junior software engineers and team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
