Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Product Vision and Roadmap
- Develop and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with stakeholder objectives.
- Identify market opportunities and customer needs within the ERP context.
- Create and maintain a technology product roadmap, incorporating emerging technologies with potential applications.
- Define and communicate the ERP platform's value proposition.
2. Requirements Definition and Prioritization
- Gather and prioritize user stories and ERP product features based on business value.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer needs and market trends specific to ERP systems.
- Create and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog for ERP projects.
- Define user stories, features, and acceptance criteria for ERP technology projects.
3. Technology Solution and Delivery
- Work closely with development and implementation teams to ensure ERP solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and clarification to ERP development teams during the implementation phase.
- Monitor ERP project progress and remove impediments to delivery.
4. Stakeholder Communication
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their ERP-related needs and challenges.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders and ERP technology teams, ensuring alignment.
- Communicate ERP project updates and outcomes to stakeholders effectively.
5. Usability and User Experience
- Ensure that the ERP product is user-friendly and aligns with business processes.
- Gather user feedback specific to ERP systems and incorporate usability improvements into ERP product development.
- Prioritize ERP features that enhance the user experience within the platform.
6. Product Performance and Optimization
- Measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess ERP product success.
- Identify areas for improvement and optimization based on data-driven insights within the ERP context.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the ERP platform's functionality and performance.
7. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure that ERP technology solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Identify and mitigate technology-related risks specific to ERP systems.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to address ERP-related concerns.
8. People Management
- Lead and mentor members of the ERP product team, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for ERP team members.
- Facilitate effective communication and cooperation within the ERP team
Education/ Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
• Certification in product management or agile methodologies is advantageous.
• 15 years of experience in product ownership or related roles, with a focus on SAP systems.
• Demonstrated success in delivering digital products or services within the SAP domain.
• Familiarity with processes and technologies in the ERP product domain.
• Experience in Project and Supplier Management.
