NPI Engineer (New Product Introduction Engineer)

1. Role Objective

Ensure efficient product development by leading cross-functional teams, streamlining processes, and maintaining quality standards. This role is responsible for the successful introduction of new products, from initial design to full production, while reducing costs and improving overall efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Product Development:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new printing products/processes that meet customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.

- Project Management:

Develop project plans, establish timelines, and manage resources to ensure NPI projects are completed on schedule.

- Technical Expertise:

Apply in-depth knowledge of printing technologies and stay informed about industry trends to suggest innovative solutions.

- Prototype Creation and Testing:

Oversee prototype development and testing to assess performance, quality, and practicality.

- Process Optimization:

Identify areas for improving processes and reducing costs during the NPI phase.

- Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, and ensure products comply with standards and customer specifications.

- Supplier Management:

Manage relationships with suppliers to obtain materials, equipment, and services for NPI projects.

- Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare detailed documentation and project reports, and keep accurate records of milestones and outcomes.

- Continuous Improvement:

Find areas for improvement in NPI processes and implement corrective actions.

- Collaboration and Communication:

Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to align objectives and timelines throughout the NPI process.

3. Performance Metrics

- Site Conversion Rates: 20%

- KPI for Core Responsibilities: 70%

- Other Assignments from Manager: 10%
