Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising agencies, ideally with a focus on gaming and activating marketing solutions for the gaming industry.
- At least 5 years of managerial experience within an agency or in house setting, which includes overseeing direct reports.
- A proven track record of effectively implementing digital marketing services with a comprehensive understanding of integrated agency services.
- The ability to confidently communicate with clients at all levels, from C-Level executives down, providing in-depth knowledge of Ampverse services and solutions within the context of a client's business.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing a team consisting of sales, creative, digital strategists, and account managers.
- The capacity to manage team utilization efficiently with a target of achieving an average billable utilization rate of 100%.
- Hands-on experience working in fast-growing startups, proven track record in company building, specifically in scaling an existing local workforce to achieve exceptional results while upholding cultural and emotional cohesion
- Exceptional skills in analysis, writing, communication, and presentation.
Managing Director's Key Objectives & Metrics
- Own the Southeast Asia P&L for marketing solutions division
- Maximize client retention, particularly top-tier clients.
- Achieve net revenue growth from existing client accounts.
- Maximize team member's career progression, particularly key team members.
- Deliver exceptional client service that leads to elevated client satisfaction, demonstrated through client testimonials, case studies, NPS scores, and client referrals.
- Optimize the utilization of professional development budgets to enhance team efficiency, success, and retention.
Client Service: Delight & Elevate
- You will be actively engaged in key client accounts, with billable time primarily allocated to client meetings, relationship development, documentation, service reviews, and general account oversight.
- Together with the account team, your responsibilities will focus on enhancing client retention and growth.
Team Management & Growth
- Efficiently manage team capacity to maximize utilization while maintaining service quality and team satisfaction.
- Ensure the deployment of the account team for all new and existing client projects.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to leverage the unique talents and abilities of account teams within the agency's structure, ensuring the effective delivery of services and alignment with client needs and preferences.
- Guide the professional development of the account team, digital strategists, and digital specialists, using the professional development budget to attend conferences and events, and creating actionable individual development plans (IDPs) to support team members' growth within the company and as industry experts (with a target of 100% IDP goal achievement).
- Provide support, both personally and professionally, to all team members, serving as the daily go-to resource for their needs, achievements, and challenges.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and make compensation recommendations with feedback from the Executive Team, involving the Executive Team as needed.
Agency Management
- Work closely with the Executive Team to establish, communicate, and execute Ampverse's vision, mission, and overall strategic direction.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure the accurate and appropriate utilization of business intelligence, such as:
- Ensuring the precision of capacity and revenue projections.
- Managing the team to achieve 100% capacity utilization, including strategic, non-billable activities.
- Ensuring the accuracy of monthly invoicing and time entry across all clients. Support agency hiring, making key decisions in partnership with the Executive Team. As a supervisory position, the Managing Director will be responsible for coaching the account team in effective service delivery and representing the agency to clients, partners, and peers.
Sales & Business Development
- Manage a team of sales professionals as well as support the leadership team in sales and business development efforts by taking the lead on select prospects and proposals, providing feedback on proposals, and participating in meetings as required. Generate leads through speaking engagements, writing opportunities, and networking activities.
Marketing, Industry Leadership & Professional Development
- Contribute insights on industry issues through Ampverse's blog and industry publications. Represent Ampverse at industry conferences and other events, both as a speaker and an attendee.
