    Position Details

    Get to Know the Team

    The Growth Insights & Planning (GIP) team is a young, enthusiastic, and passionate team with hunger to bring value to both business and society. We work closely with stakeholders across Grab Vietnam and Regional to drive business growth through data-driven insights and strategic initiatives. Our scope encompasses demand planning, growth optimization, country strategy development, and acting as the Project Management for key country strategic projects. The team is responsible for generating actionable insights, proposing strategic projects, and leading cross-functional initiatives to grow Grab's business across Mobility, Deliveries (GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress) and Financial Services in Vietnam.

    Get to Know the Role

    • For this role, the Head, Insights & Special Projects will identify key growth opportunities, developing strategies, and leading the execution of strategic projects for Grab Vietnam.

    • You'll use deep data-driven insights to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and internal performance to inform strategic decision-making.

    • You'll collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across Product, Operations, Tech, Commercial, Marketing, Finance to build plan and deploy operation.

    • You will require managerial responsibilities in mentoring and coaching people to grow.

    • You will report to the Head of Growth Insights and Planning, based onsite in Ho Chi Minh City.

    The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

    • You will scan the business environment in Vietnam for insights and trends to identify key growth opportunities for the company, building sustainable competitive advantages.

    • You will translate company-level strategies into actionable functional deliverables for Grab Vietnam and re-allocate business portfolio to align with local market opportunities.

    • You will drive decision-making and ensure major initiatives are coherent with Grab Vietnam's strategic direction.

    • You will lead end-to-end cross-functional projects, aligning and influencing teams and senior stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.

    • You will utilize advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, data modeling, machine learning) to mine data for insights, conduct complex analyses, and inform decision-making processes.

    • You will monitor and optimize key growth and operational metrics for strategic initiatives in Vietnam.

    • You will build presentations to share actionable recommendations on opportunities for growth and improvement to stakeholders.

    What Essential Skills You Will Need

    • Experience: Minimum 7 years in strategy planning or business intelligence, within a top consulting firm or relevant industry, with a clear understanding of the Vietnamese market.

    • Analytical & Modeling: Proven ability to build financial and operational models for investment decisions and scenario planning.

    • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Vietnamese, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to senior leadership.

    • Problem-Solving: Experienced in breaking down complex problems into actionable, data-backed solutions.

    • Project Management: Strong project management and execution skills, including navigating ambiguity and driving initiatives to completion.

    • Experience in people management and encouraging a strong growth culture.

    • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of SQL and good understanding of advanced analytics tools.
