Support production operations through the effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations. This includes electrical distribution, electrical equipment, process instrumentation and DCS hardware and software.
Interfaces with Process Engineers to determine electrical and instrumentation specifications.
Interfaces with Control Engineer to:
Evaluate new instrumentation technologies to improve existing systems and resolve process and safety problems.
Develops and implements expert systems software by writing programs to run on PCS
Repairing and preventive maintenance for all machines and equipment in Production, Utilities
Repair the instrument damaged parts for reuse and keep as spare parts for prompt service and availability of spare parts
Installations and modification for instrument parts of machines works together with the external contractors
Performs the Preventive Maintenance of instrument parts for all machines
Responsible area for 5’S implementation and machine PM on air compressor area.
Support Calibration as per schedule or assigned.

Develop the E/I skill set of the mechanics through training programs, coaching and maintenance of standards.
Safety, Health, and Environment, Quality and Food Safety
Support EHS, quality&food safety policies and procedures by ensuring that all maintenance work and engineering projects assigned have been critically reviewed for safety health and Environmental considerations.
Monitor and ensure completion of periodic inspections as outlined in the facilities inspection manual, to ensure safety and reliability of equipment.
Act as a liaison with inspection and insurance agencies in terms of annual equipment inspections, insurance related inspections, provincial/federal mandated inspections and IFF regulated inspections.
Support the site behavioral based safety program (REACT), Environmental management program by participating in observations and providing constructive feedback for Environmental Health and safety improvement.
Ensure all work is conducted with respect to safety precautions, equipment safety devices; and understand Environment Aspect perspective.

What You Will Need To Be Successful
Vocational or Diploma in Electronic or related.
Minimum of 3-5 years in an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing unionized environment.
Good working knowledge and understanding of PCS or PLC
