Director Of Software Engineering

Major Accountabilities

• To lead, manage several squad teams in order to develop mobile application and web application with high quality, stability, operability and maintainability through Agile software development process.

• Able to manage developers in an agile environment including working with enterprise customers on large scale projects.

• Have an expert knowledge of software development and delivery principles, and be able to demonstrate that you’ve used these in a commercial setting.

• Are energetic, effectively managing relationships (up, down, across) and able to roll-up their sleeves to get the job done.

• Think strategically to help drive features and services for short and long-term growth.

• Effectively manage team as a highly technical and hands-on coder when needed.

• Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.

• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate project member in the project team on the progress of the project.

• Think End-to-End by connecting all the pieces of the business (development, product management, QA, operations, etc.) to deliver the features to delight the customer while leveraging all available assets.

• Provide strong people management: attracting, retaining, inspiring and growing individuals; demonstrate a passion for people development and mobility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Management Information System, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT

• 10 years of application software implementation experience

• 5-7 years of mobile application / web application developer

• 5-7 years of experience in multiple scrum/squad teams management

• Strong knowledge in software development, design pattern and framework,Agile software development, software configuration management and financial services industry

• Extremely proficient in modern coding and design practices

• Extremely proficient in one or more mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Web)

• Proficient in automation and DevSecOps

• Other skills – communication, influencing, negotiation, leadership, coaching, teamwork, trust building and conflict management
