Edsy, an award-winning EdTech startup on a mission to democratize English fluency through “GenAI English Speaking Coach” is looking for a Business Development Intern to help us expand services to schools and universities across Thailand, uplifting students’ English-speaking skills. We are backed by a regional VC fund and Silicon Valley angels including top execs at Snapchat, TikTok, Linktree, etc. Our team of ~15 comprises former engineers at Microsoft USA, SCB10X, Skooldio, PhD candidates at Carnegie Mellon, and Wharton & Yale grads.
Scope (say 10:90 strategy to execution):
- Lead Generation: Drive the acquisition process from initial lead identification to successful deal closure, employing a range of tactics such as cold-calling, site visits, sales pitches, and active participation in industry events.
- Sales support: Prepare marketing materials, sales proposals, and presentations to potential clients.
- Product Demonstration and Training: Organize on-site product demos and provide necessary training during the lead nurturing process to showcase the value proposition effectively.
- Collaboration for Success: Work closely with the Customer Success and Academics teams to ensure seamless completion and high satisfaction of product trials, focusing on meeting and exceeding client expectations.
Requirements:
- In 3rd or 4th year of college graduate program or recent graduate who can work from May to Aug 2024.
- Adept at effective communication in Thai and English, with a focus on tailoring messages to different audiences.
- High ownership & self-initiative with demonstrated experience of being on top of multiple different tasks and taking the initiative to push for results.
- Start-up mindset & “0 to 1” ability i.e., can operate independently in a fast-paced environment without much supervision and handholding.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Comfortable and capable of undertaking business trips independently.
