Develop a comprehensive systems, policies, procedures and culture of safety and quality to ensure compliance to all IATF16949, ISO14001, ISO9001, IATF16949 and BASF EHS rules/regulations & RC requirements and Quality Management policies.
Be the champion of safety programs within the operations team and strive for continuous improvement.
Continuously drive improvements to meet and exceed the product quality expectations of our customers.
Plan, direct, coordinate, review and control the plant activities for production, maintenance/repairing, quality, delivery, including development of objectives and standards in the unit to ensure the total manufacturing objectives, especially production orders, are accomplished in time with quality and cost effectiveness.
Benchmark the performance and do gap analysis for the plant effectiveness and efficiency, generating KPI reports, root cause analysis and driving solutions for continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of procedures and work instructions to ensure the operations team is fully capable to perform all the required tasks for the plant to the required standards.
Assess the people and equipment resources available at the plant and identify current and future roadblocks and bottlenecks, implementing improvements together with the Plant Manager.
Support the development and implementation of CAPEX projects.
Support the development and maintenance of all necessary plant systems and documentation.
Responsible for asset management (annual count, asset register, new assets and asset retirement)
Responsible functional and administrative manager for the plant working team (Production Supervisor, Shifts Supervisor, Operators (Level 1-3) and Operators (Agency).
Manage the onboarding and continuous training / upskilling of the plant working team according to the defined training matrix. Proactively identify gaps in knowledge and skills within the group and implement corrections.
Develop shift teams, working structures and roles to ensure correct resourcing for current and future demand.
Act as deputy Plant Manager where required.
Represent the plant and the company in internal and external forums including audits, customer meetings and take the key position as coordination between the plant and other functional working teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related.
5 years working experience in production management (prefer Chemicals and Coatings)
